Hi! To all,
One of our friend Arvind kumar (Roll No. 563, Anand Ashram, 1990-94 batch), is struggling for his life, Since 24.02.2005 he is unconscious in ICU of WOCKHARDT Hospital, which is on Mulund Goregaon Link Road, Mumbai. His Treatment is going Under Dr. Ashok Hende, of Neurosurgeon, Day before yesterday there was level–3 Brain surgery, and Doctor assured us that we should wait for 3-4 days, but there is not much improvement as it is Brain case, Yesterday His company person contacted another doctor and again got some different analysis, here we are silent Listener.
So I Request our senior, who is practicing in Mumbai or Pune please help us out, even who is practicing out of Mumbai please give some contact number so that we can meet him and will request him to analyze the Medical report,

After that, kumud kept on updating us about arvind's status. During that period, they recieved around Rs. 7 lakhs from Accenture including the insurance money. However, Cost soon started escalating beyond control and arind was shifted to another hospital. Here is the mail sent by kumud on 24-Mar-2005

Subject: [noba-all] status of arvindji,
Dear All
Namaste
We have shifted arvindji in Pragati hospital, (Hira Mongi),Mulund(west), yesterday evening, for one day arvindji will be in ICU, then he will be shifted in other special ward, here all activities are carried out in the guidance of doctor, main person who are involve in taking decision (his brother, Mr. Subodh, one Relative Mr. Vasant, Dr.Rakaesh neuro physician (Noba),Rohitji (1990 –94),ashok ashram, and myself).
I thought that it would be appropriate to make this clear that the treatment being received by Arvindji will not suffer due to the shifting in question, just the cost component would go down. Wockhardt is one of the costliest hospitals in Mumbai and hence it is but practical that once the critical component of the treatment gets over and the situation becomes stable, he may be shifted to a hospital where the same care can be provided at a fraction of the earlier cost. Cost no doubt is a major concern while taking this decision. Till date, Arvindji's entire cost of treatment has been borne by his insurance cover (extended by the company) and by his company, Accenture. The limit till which the company is willing to support the treatment expenses is being reached at a very fast pace-
There is some more improvement in body function, but regarding brain improvement it will take one month more as doctor words, otherwise we will hope for some miracle, just keep praying for his best & fast recovery,
With regards,
Kumud
Till this time, Kumud was hopeful of getting some more help from Accenture. However, when it became clear that no further help can be expected from Accenture, He sent this mail

Subject: [noba-all] kind request for arvindji recovery
Namaste to all,
Here situation is almost same,he is still unconscious,
I m giving u detail description of fund, we got 3 lacs from TTK, after that there was one lac extension, then company granted 3lacs, that is final amount which would being received by us, since WOCKHARDT is costlier hospital, we have switched the hospital, we have to wait for minimum 1-2 months more, in hospital, after the discussion of doctor we switched the hospital, but here also average cost is 8-9 thousand per day, we have only 1.45lac,
Here I would like to describe his family background, in childhood he has lost his parents, (both papa & mummy), he has two elder brother, his brother is not able to take concrete step, he is also farmer, His distant relative was denying for contribution from our community, but yesterday evening he was talking for some fund collection from our noba side, since there are no any possibilities from company side,
Now its depend upon us, how we people help him out, yesterday night I started talking our some senior who r in Mumbai, lets see how we r executing this things,
Any kind suggestions are most welcome.
Regards,
Kumud

I am adding details for <1>, <3> & <5> below. <2> & <4> are not known to me and <6> is yet now ready.
